 Dr. Andrea Kennedy is a natural resource planning and collaborative governance specialist, and a professional engineer (non-practicing). Andrea holds a PhD. in Indigenous Studies, law and land management. Andrea has deep knowledge and experience in provincial, national and global Indigenous affairs, including land related cross cultural collaboration and negotiation supporting FPIC decisions. She has over twenty-five years of experience working in the fields of negotiation, consultation, community engagement, strategic planning and natural resource engineering. This valuable combination of education and career history has given her the ability to lead collaborative processes that allow for meaningful consultation and consent between Indigenous peoples, governments, and industrial proponents.
